After Strike, Netanyahu Puts Houthi Leaders on Notice: ‘We Will Reach Everyone’

In a stark warning to Israel’s foes, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu put the entire Houthi leadership on notice following a strike that killed their prime minister. “This is just the beginning… we will reach everyone,” Netanyahu stated, framing the assassination as a pivotal moment.
The strike on Sanaa, which Netanyahu called a “fatal blow,” was carried out in retaliation for the Houthis’ persistent missile attacks and maritime disruptions. The Yemeni group claims these acts are in support of Palestinians in the Gaza conflict.
The success of the long-range raid is a testament to Israel’s growing intelligence capabilities in a region where it previously had limited insight. The mission was not flawless, however, as it missed key military figures, notably the Houthi chief of staff.
The Houthis have responded defiantly, vowing revenge for the killings. While analyst Yoel Guzansky calls the strike “remarkable,” he notes that forcing leaders into hiding is different from stopping their campaign, as the group’s core motivation remains a powerful driver of conflict.
